TRIANGULAR TOUCH

Through the floodplain spaces to the white building, where the triangular space touches the branching forest, carrying it into a world of softness, humility, and truthfulness—into the realm of Constantin Brâncuși.

I choose one sculpture from his early work, Măiastra (1908), reflecting the beginnings of a lifelong search and discovery. Its solid base evokes the earth, while its head belongs to another world—one of freedom and truth. Through it, the visitor encounters the first touches of authenticity, the thorns and majesty hidden in the work of this remarkable sculptor.

Through the triangular space, the visitor’s experience intensifies. The space itself guides them toward the sculpture with clarity. The walls open around it, giving it room to ascend through the translucent ceiling. A place for intimacy.

I choose three smaller sculptures—Bird in Space (1940), The Kiss (1908), and Mlle Pogany (1913). Their chronology is intricate, yet they tell essential stories. The room opens into the landscape. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, with the surrounding world seeping through wide windows. A place for discovery.
